Deliver
The Deliver Component consists of both direct and indirect student services. It is made up of all services provided directly to all students such as direct instruction, appraisal, and advisement, as well as counseling. Indirect student services consists of those activities completed away from the student such as consulting, collaborating, and referring to outside services. 
 

Direct Services consist of instruction such as classroom guidance lessons, small group instruction, and individual instruction. Also, appraisal and advisement and counseling.

Classroom Guidance: Utilize a lesson plan developed with mindsets and behaviors in mind. Focuses on lessons in the area of academic, career, or social/emotional.

Small group:  Similar to classroom instruction, focuses on academic, career, or social/emotional area in a more targeted format of groups consisting of 3 to 12 students.

Individual instruction: Allows the school counselor to provide to the specific needs of the individual for targeted work on the ASCA mindsets and behaviors and the academic, career, or social/emotional domains.

Apprasial and Advisement: Constitutes the use of instruments to assess the acievement, skills or abilities, and or interests. Advisement constitutes the devlopment and sharing of recommendations based on the results of the apprasials. 

Counseling: Short-term intervention in response to crisis, transition, stress, or signifigant change. It is provided at the individual or small group level.

Indirect Services are those services provided by the school counselor for the benefit of the students through interactions with allies of the student rather than the student themselves.

Consultation: The process of giving or obtaining specialized information to or from experts to meet the students needs. 

Collaboration: When multiple individuals work together for the achievement of common goals.

Referrals: Necessary when the needs of the student exceed the expertise of the school counselor and more specialized intervention is recommended.
