Get Acquainted with Mrs. Pense

Hello, Mannsville School students and families. I am pleased to serve Mannsville students as the school counselor. I graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with my Bachelor's degree in Science then continued my education to receive my Master's degree in Educational Leadership and a Master's in School Counseling.
This year marks my 20th year in education. I started my teaching career in Madill Public Schools, where I taught all grade levels, PreK-8th grade.
I am excited about my first year as a school counselor. I am pleased to serve all students of Mannsville Public School. I will encourage all students to meet their highest potential. I will instill a desire to pursue academic, emotional, and social growth.
4 Components of ASCA National Model

Define
The Define component identifies student standards which are broke into two categories; mindsets and behaviors. It also establishes professional standards, competencies and the ethical practices for school counselors.

Manage
The Manage component works to identify and communicate the focus of the school counseling program. It draws from school data, student outcomes, action and lesson plans, and administrative feedback.

Deliver
The Deliver component consist of both direct and indirect student services. It is made up of all services provided directly to all students such as direct instruction, appraisal and advisement, as well as counseling. Indirect student services consists of those activities completed away from the student such as consulting, collaborating, and referring to outside services.

Assess
The Assess component consists of assessment of the school counseling program and the services that it delivers as well as the students and the outcomes they achieve.
